New PaCCS Website

By Sharon Walker

The Partnership for Conflict, Crime and Security Research (PaCCS), formerly known as the Global Uncertainties Programme, has launched a new website.  The programme, which is an initiative of Research Councils UK, was established in 2008.  The Partnership focuses on the core areas of:

  • Conflict
  • Cyber-security
  • Transnational organised crime

As part of the programme PaCCS provides an opportunity to bring together disciplines to provide knowledge exchange between government, industry and the third sector.  As part of this knowledge exchange scheme IMPRINTS held a policy seminar in June 2014 on the future threats and opportunities for identity management.  The seminar was attended by over 60 people from government, industry and academia. Although the project officially ended in November, Professor Liesbet van Zoonen, IMPRINTS Principal Investigator, continues to develop the work and outcomes as a key consultant for the Dutch government, who is developing a new e-ID scheme.Further details on the IMPRINTS project is available on the PaCCS new website:
